Can more memory slots be added to a motherboard, and if so, how is it done? - Quora
Answer (1 of 2): Memory SLOTS are where you plug memory modules in. No, you cannot add more.
Memory *itself* can be increased, either by adding more memory modules in or, if all the memory slots are filled, replacing some of the memory with higher capacity sticks.
